Amsler Grid

An Amsler Grid is a tool used to detect visual changes in the macula (central part of the retina) or the optic nerve.

The grid looks like a graph paper with dark lines in the shape of a square and a dark circle in the center.

Each day you cover one eye at a time. If the lines on the grid become wavy or distorted you should call your Doctor.

This grid is very helpful for those monitoring macular degeneration changes.

3. Eye Drops

Eye Drops

It is very important to follow the Doctors' directions for all eye drops or ointments.

If you are given antibiotics, please use them - 1 drop to the treated eye, 4 times daily, for 3 days or until the bottle is finished.

Avoid touching the tip of the bottle.
